Vietnamese designer Linh San has just introduced a collection of ao dai. The Melody of Moonlight – The Melody of Moonlight, depicting a magical space under the moonlight of the Mid-Autumn Festival. 

The collection impresses with its delicate and captivating beauty through the performances of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 contestants including Quach Maily Tapiau, Trieu Tien, Thuy Quynh, Quynh Anh and Phi Phuong Anh.

The collection continues the tradition of the Vietnamese Ao Dai but with innovation and creativity. The collar, shoulder pads, sleeves and Ao Dai hem are transformed into impressive fashion details, creating a new version but still maintaining the traditional identity.

Designer Linh San shared that every Mid-Autumn Festival, when looking up at the sky, the moonlight always gives her a magical and sparkling feeling. This has become the inspiration for The melody of moonlightThe collection was conceived and completed by the designer in several months, using rare materials such as silk, organza, silk, and chiffon, combined with crystals, sequins, and silver thread.

These materials were imported from abroad more than 2 months ago to give the design team time to create unique ao dai designs. Each ao dai is carefully crafted by about 5 to 6 artisans, ensuring that every stitch is meticulously and perfectly executed.

The designer skillfully creates softness and flexibility in each cut, highlighting the curves of the wearer. Images of lotus flowers, vast water waves and details inspired by the legend of the dragon and fairy are expressed through Linh San's fashion language.
