Beijing, March 10 (AseanAll) — Xi Jinping was unanimously elected president of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the PRC on March 10 at the ongoing session of the 14th National People's Congress.This is the third time he has held the two important posts.

On the same day, Han Zheng was elected Chinese vice president at the annual session of the national legislature.Han Zheng previously served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council of China.
Subsequently, Xi Jinping and Han Zheng took constitutional oaths respectively.
