(AseanAll)  — On January 27, 2025, Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra delivered her wishes on occasion of the 2025 Chinese New Year. 

The Prime Minister wished a Happy New Year and sent her love and well wishes to all Thai Chinese and the Chinese people, both in Thailand and abroad, on occasion of the 2025 Chinese New Year. The Chinese New Year is a special time for family members to gather to celebrate the start of the new year with smiles and happiness. The beginning of a year is believed to bring full of good lucks, and Thailand’s celebrating the Chinese New Year demonstrates cultural ties and bonds that Thais and Chinese people have had for a long time. She expressed hope that such close and friendly relations will continue endlessly, and lead to cooperation in other areas for the benefit of people of both countries.  

In closing, the Prime Minister hoped that everyone spends a warm and happy time with their family and loved ones during the Chinese New Year. She wished for everyone’s dreams to come true, and for their prosperity, professional success, and good physical and mental health. This is in order for them to be able to push Thailand ahead as a country of tangible opportunities where everyone can make their dreams come true, and a country where the people have enjoyed equal well-being and dignity.
