(AseanAll) — On 8th January, 2025, Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam met with Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of Brunei.
Xiao Jianguo spoke highly of the achievements of China-Brunei people-to-people exchanges in 2024, and expressed readiness to continuously work with Bruneian side to further promote cooperation in culture, youth and sports, so as to enhance the friendship and mutual trust between the two peoples.
Nazmi applauded the active support for Brunei’s 40th National Day celebrations, especially the drone show presented by Chinese team which has become Brunei’s national memory, and expected to explore more cooperation in cultural exchanges, sports talent training and infrastructure building, to further enhance China-Brunei friendship.
Nazmi also expressed condolences to China over the Xizang(Tibet) earthquake.
On January 21, 2025(Davos local time), at the DP World House, Davos, Swiss Federation, during her attendance at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025 (WEF AM25), Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra met with Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, chairman and chief executive officer of DP World (UAE).
