Cambodian and Chinese Top Diplomats Hold Bilateral Talks

Beijing,November 29 (AseanAll)  — Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia and Chairman of the Commission for External Relations of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), held bilateral talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing, China on November 28,2024.

On the occasion, Wang Yi, also a Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, said that the friendship between China and Cambodia has withstood the test of international changes and that under the strategic guidance of their leaders, the two countries’ solid friendship has entered a new stage.

China is willing to maintain close high-level exchanges with Cambodia, promote the building of China-Cambodia Community with a Shared Future in the new era, strengthen high-level strategic coordination to cope with risks and challenges, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of both countries, and promote regional peace and stability, Wang Yi said.

From his side, Prak Sokhonn underlined that Cambodia is firmly committed to a friendly policy toward China and is willing to enhance political mutual trust, promote practical cooperation, strengthen diplomatic coordination, and continuously elevate Cambodia-China friendship to new heights.
