Phnom Penh, February 19 (AseanAll) — Cambodian king Norodom Sihamoni called on the Cambodian people to go to the polls for the 7th National Assembly election on July 23 , 2023 in order to elect their leaders for development and prosperity of the kingdom.
In his royal letter made public on themorning of February 18, the monarch appealed to them to elect the national leaders for the development and prosperity of all fields.
The King further stated that the election on Sunday, July 23, 2023 is a general election that is free, fair, just and secret in accordance with the principles of multi-party democracy.
"Therefore, do not worry about oppression, threats or intimidation from anyone or any political party," he underlined.
In addition, the King said that all compatriots should exercise their right to vote according to their own conscience.
