Siem Reap, June 8 (AseanAll) — On 7 June 2024, U Kyaw Soe Min, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Cambodia attended the opening ceremony of the 20th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation (AMMSTI-20) and related meetings held in Siem Reap, Cambodia together with the delegation led by Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, Myanmar Union Minister for Ministry of Science and Technology.
The said opening ceremony was chaired by HUN MANET, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Ambassadors and diplomats also attended.
The Myanmar Ambassador also accompanied the Union Minister in the courtesy call on HEM Vanndy, Minister for Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on 6 June 2024.
During the discussion, both sides cordially exchanged views on promoting cooperation in Science and Technology, possible venues for closer collaboration to promote joint research programs, and to develop a people-to-people exchange program.
