Cambodian PM Extends Condolences to Japan over Recent Earthquake

Phnom Penh, January 2 (AseanAll)  — Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has extended his deepest condolences to Japan over the recent earthquake, believing that Japan will swiftly overcome the disaster.

“I feel extremely saddened to learn of the many casualties and severe damage to property and infrastructure resulting from the massive earthquake that hit Ishikawa prefecture on New Year's day,” he wrote in a condolence message to Kishida Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan.


“On behalf of the Royal Government and people of Cambodia, I would like to express my profound condolences and sympathy to the Government and people of Japan, particularly those affected by the disaster. I also wish the injured a speedy and full recovery,” the Cambodian Premier added.


Hun Manet also expressed his confidence that under Kishida Fumio’s able leadership, together with diligent Japanese rescue teams and local authorities, Japan will be able to rapidly overcome this disaster with resilience.
