According to the Chinese Embassy in Japan ，on January 26, Kong Xuanyou and his delegation walked into the headquarters of Shorinji Kempo under the guidance of So KOMA, the representative of the Shorinji Kempo Unity , So Yuki , the consultant of the Shorinji Kempo , and Takashi Ohsawa, the Chief Abbot of Kongo Zen Sohonzan Shorinji Temple（金剛禅総本山少林寺）.
At the headquarters of Shorinji Kempo, the calligraphic works of the older generation of Chinese leaders, the inscriptions of successive Chinese ambassadors to Japan and the cherry blossom tree of China-Japan friendship can be vividly seen, reflecting the long history of Shorinji Kempo, which has been friendly to China for a long time and committed to the people-to-people exchanges between China and Japan..
Kong and his party watched the wonderful martial arts and drumming demonstrations. Japanese students from different ages have recalled a good impression of visiting Henan Songshan Shaolin Temple, hoping to continue to promote Japan-China friendship.
Kong pointed out that the Shorinji Kempo inherited the martial arts from Shaolin Temple of China, which not only promoted martial arts and Zen thoughts in Japan, but also made positive contributions to the friendly exchanges between China and Japan. Mrs. Yuki , the former representative of the Shorinji Kempo was awarded the Chinese Government Friendship Award, which fully reflected the high affirmation of China.
The Ambassador said that the current China-Japan relations are facing new opportunities and challenges. He hoped that the Shorinji Kempo and other civil organizations would continue to adhere to the concept of friendship and play a greater role in enhancing the exchange and mutual trust between the two peoples and promoting the healthy, stable improvement and development of China-Japan relations.
