Beijing，January 20, 2023（AseanAll）On January 20，China's new Foreign Minister Qin Gang held a telephone conversation with Indonesian Foreign Minister Reteno.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Qin Gang said that Indonesia is a major ASEAN country and an important partner of the the Belt and Road Initiative. At present, China-Indonesia bilateral relations face new development opportunities.

 "I would like to work with you to follow the strategic guidance of the two heads of state and push the China-Indonesia community of shared future to go deeper and deeper，"Qin said.

Qin said that China encourages more high-quality Chinese enterprises to invest in Indonesia and hopes that Indonesia will provide more security and policy convenience.

Retno said that China is an important partner of Indonesia at the bilateral and multilateral levels. Indonesia is full of expectations for bilateral relations and will strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China.

She said that Indonesia attaches great importance to and will fully guarantee the safety of Chinese projects and personnel. Chinese tourists are welcome to Indonesia as soon as possible.

Reteno pointed out that Indonesia will assume the rotating presidency of ASEAN this year and will be committed to promoting the development of ASEAN-China relations and hopes to continue to receive the support of China.

Chinese FM said that China fully supports the work of Indonesia's rotating presidency of ASEAN and believes that Indonesia will show leadership and promote greater development of ASEAN community construction and East Asia cooperation.
