Cambodian PM Pays Last Tribute to Late Former Chinese President

On the afternoon of December 5, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen led a government delegation to the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia to mourn the death of former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin.

 


Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Shaoken of Cambodia, Deputy Prime Minister He Nanhong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Supervision and Parliamentary Liaison Mason An, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Cabinet Office Bin Cheng, Deputy Prime Minister Yin Chaili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Brasokun, etc. were accompanied.



Hun Sen laid a wreath and paid tribute to the portrait of Jiang Zemin, and wrote in the condolence book: "The former President of China, His Excellency Jiang Zemin, is a good friend of Cambodia. He paid a state visit to Cambodia in 2000, making a historic contribution to the development of Cambodia China relations. I would like to express my deepest condolences to his relatives, the Chinese government and the people."




Jiang Zemin, former General Secretary of the CPC and former President of China, died in Shanghai on November 30 at the age of 96. He also served as Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China.
