Beijing，January 17, 2023（AseanAll）Chinese new Foreign Minister Qin Gang held a telephone conversation with Malaysian Foreign Minister Zambiri On January 17.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Qin Gang said that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia, and next year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. China is willing to work with Malaysia to take this opportunity to push bilateral relations to a new level.

Qin said that China is willing to work with the new Malaysian government to fully leverage the role of mechanisms such as the China-Malaysia High-level Committee for Cooperation, continue to promote high-quality cooperation in jointly building "the Belt and Road" and steadily advance key projects.

Qin stressed that China is willing to deepen cooperation with regional countries and jointly safeguard regional peace and stability. "We look forward to working with Malaysia to promote the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership to go deeper and deeper."

Chinese FM said that the Malaysian government and all walks of life have an objective and fair view of China's epidemic prevention policy and welcome Chinese tourists to Malaysia. China appreciates this. It is believed that with the joint efforts of both sides, personnel exchanges between the two countries will soon return to normal.

Zambiri congratulated Qin Gang on his appointment as China's Foreign Minister.

Zambiri said that Malaysia and China enjoy a long history of friendship and that Malaysia regards China as an important partner and attaches great importance to its relations with China.

Malaysian FM said that Malaysia is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges and people to people and cultural exchanges with China, deeply tap the cooperation potential of jointly building the "the Belt and Road", and promote greater development of  bilateral relations.
