Vientiane Motor Market Co., Ltd. has become the official distributor in Laos of a globalised automobile brand manufactured in China, Chery, after a distribution agreement with the Chery Automobile Group was signed.

The signing ceremony took place online on Monday, when the agreement was signed by the President of Chery International, Mr Zhang Guibing, and the President of Vientiane Motor Market, Mr Daovong Keomanivong.

The signing was witnessed by the senior management team of the Chery Automobile Group and the management team from Vientiane Motor Market.

Speaking at the event, Mr Daovong said the agreement was the beginning of a partnership and long-term collaboration between the two companies.

“With good will, clear ambitions and a strong commitment to work together, we look forward to achieving our common goal of better making peace and profit through a knowledge-based economy. We are confident that through our efforts and commitment, we will be able to achieve more and be able to continue to develop even stronger relationships and friendships between the people of our countries,” he added.

According to a representative of the President of Vientiane Motor Market, the first batch of Chery cars will be ready for sale in Laos in February or March.

After the agreement was signed the two parties exchanged gifts.
