Putrajaya, October 1 (AseanAll) — On October 1, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing visited the Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya to make a farewell call on the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Ouyang Yujing said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Malaysia relations are now at the best in the history. High-level exchanges have been frequent, and cooperation in economy and trade, education, science and technology, tourism, and other areas has yielded significant results. China stands ready to work with Malaysia to advance the building of a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future, so as to bring continuous benefits to the people of the two countries.

Anwar, who recalled his recent visit to China to attend the 48th WorldSkills Competition and the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo, commended Ambassador Ouyang for his contributions to the development of Malaysia-China relations during his tenure.
Malaysian Prime Minister said that Malaysia and China have forged steady cooperation across various sectors, including economic, technology, education, and cultural, with cooperation in the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), 5G, AI, ports, and other areas opening up new opportunities for collaboration.
Anwar said, Malaysia will continue to deepen its traditional friendship and long-term cooperation with China to jointly promote regional security and prosperity, and enhance the peoples’ well-being.
