(AseanAll)  — On September 22nd, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar hosted a reception celebrating the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. 

The event gathered more than 800 guests, including Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, Vice President of Myanmar, U Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Deputy Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw, Lt-Gen Phone Myat, Union Minister for Border Affairs, U Than Maung, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs, and other dignitaries from Myanmar. Attendees also included friendly personages from all walks of life, diplomatic envoys of various countries to Myanmar, representatives of international organizations, Chinese enterprises, and overseas Chinese.

In her remarks, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia stated that this year marks the commencement of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, and China is marching toward the second centenary goal of building itself into a great modern socialist country in all respects. Over the past year, China-Myanmar relations have developed vigorously. China stands ready to work with Myanmar to promote the building of a China-Myanmar community with a shared future and bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye spoke highly of the four Global Initiatives proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and China’s development achievements. She reaffirmed Myanmar’s firm adherence to the one-China principle and expressed her wish that the “Pauk-Phaw” friendship between Myanmar and China will last forever.

The guests extended warm congratulations to the Chinese side, and took an active part in the charity bazaar themed China-Myanmar “Pauk-Phaw” friendship.
