(AseanAll)  — On September 21, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore grandly held a reception to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Ms. Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office of Singapore, attended and delivered a speech on behalf of the Singaporean government.

In his speech, Cao Zhongming said that since the People’s Republic of China was founded 77 years ago, the Communist Party of China has led the Chinese people in achieving great accomplishments that have attracted worldwide attention. China’s 15th Five-Year Plan got off to a steady start, and new breakthroughs have been achieved in development across various fields. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China and Singapore have made new progress in the all-round high-quality future-oriented partnership. China looks forward to working with Singapore to deepen political mutual trust and continuously create new highlights in bilateral cooperation.

Indranee Rajah warmly congratulated the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and spoke positively of China’s extraordinary development achievements over the past decades. She stated that Singapore will take over the ASEAN chairmanship next year and looks forward to working with China to jointly promote regional peace, stability and prosperity.

A total of more than 800 guests, including people from various sectors in Singapore, the diplomatic corps, representatives of Chinese enterprises and institutions and Chinese students, attended the reception.
