Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister receives farewell call by outgoing Indonesian Ambassador to Cambodia

Phnom Penh, January 20 (AseanAll)  — On the morning of 20 January 2026, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a farewell call from Santo Darmosumarto, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Cambodia, who has successfully completed his diplomatic mission in Cambodia.

During the meeting, PRAK Sokhonn commended the Ambassador for his valuable contributions to strengthening friendly relations and close cooperation between Cambodia and Indonesia. The Ambassador also expressed his gratitude for Cambodia’s active cooperation in major areas, particularly in security, economy, education, and culture.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for his efforts in enhancing relations between the two countries, and looked forward to extending support and cooperation with his successor.

On the afternoon of 20 January 2026,  PRAK Sokhonn hosted a farewell luncheon in honor of Buakeo Phumvongsay, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Santo Darmosumarto, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Cambodia, on the occasion of the successful completion of their diplomatic mission in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The luncheon was also attended by other ASEAN Ambassadors.
