Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister receives a courtesy call by the new Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Cambodia

Phnom Penh, January 22 (AseanAll)  — On the morning of 22 January 2026,  Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by Her Excellency Markéta KOLC HÁJKOVÁ, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Kingdom of Cambodia. 

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister warmly welcomed the Ambassador to her new role and expressed deep appreciation for the long-standing relations and fruitful cooperation between Cambodia and the Czech Republic in areas of common interest. 

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to working closely to maintain and strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation as both countries mark the 70th Anniversary of their Diplomatic Relations in 2026. 

The Deputy Prime Minister also briefed her on the full and firm commitments of Cambodia to the Ceasefire agreement and the current situation of displaced Cambodian people.
