Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister receives courtesy call from Ambassador of Canada to Cambodia

Phnom Penh, January 22 (AseanAll)  — On the morning of 22 January 2026,  Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call from Christian DesRoches, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in Cambodia-Canada relations and reaffirmed their commitments to further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including education, trade, tourism, and demining. 

They also exchanged views on recent developments regarding the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict.
