Bandar Seri Begawan，March 17 (AseanAll)  — On 15 March, Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador-designate of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, presented the copy of the Letter of Credence to Haji Muhamad Fakhri, Chief Protocol Officer and Deputy Permanent Secretary of th Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of Brunei Darusssalam.

Ambassador Xiao thanked MoFA for its kind arrangement and support on his arrival and the presentation of copy of the Letter of Credence and emphasized to join hands with the Brunein side, to implement well the important consensus of the two heads of state, push forward the friendly exchanges and practical cooperation in each filed, bringing more benefits to the two countries and peoples.

Fakhri warmly welcomed Ambassador Xiao and confirmed that the Brunein side will provide due support and assistance for the assumption of duties of Ambassador Xiao and work with the Chinese Embassy to promote the further development of bilateral relations.

Ambassador Xiao Jianguo arrived in Brunei on 5 March 2023.
