On February 10, 2025, Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), received a courtesy call from Yang Mulia Colonel Garry L Atienza, Defence and Armed Forces Attaché of The Republic of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam.

Also present were the Chief of Staff RBAF and Director of Intelligence.

During the call, the RBAF Commander expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to partake in deployment missions, such as the Independent Decommissioning Body Verification, Monitoring and Assistance Team (IDB VMAT) in Mindanao, and the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) mission 'Operasi Badai Taduh' in the Republic of the Philippines, following the Tropical Storm Kristine. These efforts not only underscore the RBAF's dedication to regional humanitarian initiatives but also contribute to enhancing bilateral cooperation between the Armed Forces of both nations.
