Labuan Bajo, May 13 (AseanAll) — The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended a Bilateral Meeting with the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia on May 11.
Diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste were established on 20th May 2002, in which both countries mainly cooperate in the areas of education and training, as well as air services.
The Sultan also expressed pleasure on the signing of the Air Services Agreement between both countries, which is vital in promoting tourism.
In addition, He extended an invitation to the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to visit Brunei Darussalam.
Both leaders emphasised the importance of education cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, including scholarship programmes.
