Dili, May 22 (AseanAll)  — On May 22nd,2026, Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste Ms. Wang Wenli met with a delegation of 29 teachers and students from Hong Kong Tung Wah College.

Wang Wenli welcomed the delegation, and introduced the history of friendly exchanges and the development of bilateral relations between China and Timor-Leste, elaborated on China’s foreign policies, philosophy and practices, shared stories of Chinese enterprises and Chinese Community deeply involved in Timor-Leste’s development who contributed to the local economic and social development, and commended the college for its efforts in cultivating young talents with broad international view and a sense of patriotism.

Wang Wenli encouraged the students to take this visit as an opportunity to integrate their individual pursuits into the journey of national rejuvenation, to serve as bridges of friendly exchange between China and the world, to rise up as ambitious and responsible youth of Hong Kong in the new era.

The representative of the College expressed thanks to the embassy’s warm hospitality, stating that this visit immersed them in the China’s foreign policy. The students expressed their commitment to serve as bridges between our nation and the world and embracing their roles as responsible youth of the new era.

Amid a warm and lively atmosphere, the event culminated in a Q&A session, where Ambassador Wang offered thoughtful, comprehensive responses to the many eager inquiries from the teachers and students.
