Dili, May 8 (AseanAll) — On May 6, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste Wang Wenli met with Mr. Magno, Vice Minister of Health of Timor-Leste, in Dili.
The two sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector.
Wang Wenli noted that healthcare cooperation is an important part of practical cooperation between China and Timor-Leste. Since 2004, China has continuously dispatched medical teams to Timor-Leste, providing medical supplies, medicines, and technical training. China stands ready to continue supporting the development of Timor-Leste’s healthcare sector through bilateral and multilateral channels.
Magno spoke positively of China’s longstanding support for Timor-Leste’s healthcare sector and expressed readiness to work closely with China to deepen and solidify medical cooperation between the two countries.
