Dili, May 7 (AseanAll)  — From May 4th to May 5th,2026,Liang Zhenying（Leung Chun-ying）, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference（CPPCC） and Chairman of the GX Foundation, visited Timor-Leste and met with José Ramos-Horta, President of Timor-Leste. Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste Wang Wenli accompanied and participated in the activities.

Liang Zhenying highly appraised China-Timor-Leste relations and introduced the GX Foundation’s project implementation in Timor-Leste. He stated that the Foundation will continue to commit itself to elevating the level of China-Timor-Leste medical and health cooperation, allowing more Timorese people to enjoy health and well-being. The foundation, through dispatching professional teams and donating materials, assisted Timor-Leste in responding to the dengue fever epidemic. The Foundation will also organize Timorese students to visit China and arrange for Chinese youth representatives to come to Timor-Leste for exchanges.

President Horta welcomed vice chairman Liang’s visit to Timor-Leste again and expressed appreciation for the Foundation's active efforts in improving Timor-Leste’s public health level. He hoped that both sides would continue to cooperate to benefit the people of the two countries.

Liang Zhenying also met with Mathur, the World Health Organization Representative to Timor-Leste, as well as religious personages and youth students of Timor-Leste.
