Phnom Penh, February 5 (AseanAll) — On the morning of 5 February 2026, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held talks with Derek Yip, Ambassador of Australia to Cambodia.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Australian Ambassador expressed their satisfaction with the positive progress of the long-standing relations between the two countries and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the good bilateral relations and exploring opportunities to broaden the cooperation and partnership to new heights.
Key areas of collaboration such as political, security and defense cooperation, trade and investment, and education were highlighted in the meeting.

Both sides also exchanged views on recent developments concerning the Cambodia-Thailand border situation, as well as on regional issues of common concern.
