Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) makes an official visit to Cambodia

(AseanAll)  — Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) made his first official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia from 18 to 20 September 2025. This visit is a follow-up to the Official Visit of  General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), to Brunei Darussalam in September 2022.

Upon arrival at the RCAF High Command Headquarters, the RBAF Commander was welcomed with an Honorary Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour mounted by personnel from the RCAF. 

During the visit, he made a goodwill call to General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the RCAF, where both parties reaffirmed their dedication to reinforcing bilateral defence ties and expanding collaborative opportunities to promote regional peace and stability. 

The RBAF Commander also paid courtesy calls on Hun Sen, President of the Senate and Chairman of the Supreme Privy Council to the King of the Kingdom of Cambodia; Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia; and General Yun Min, Secretary of State, Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia. 

Accompanying the RBAF Commander during this call was Pengiran Kasmirhan bin Pengiran Haji Tahir, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The RBAF Commander visited key cultural and historical sites in Phnom Penh. Additionally, the RBAF Commander and his delegation attended an official dinner hosted by the Commander-in-Chief of the RCAF. 


This official visit highlighted Brunei Darussalam's dedication to enhancing robust and mutually defence relations built on shared interests in regional peace, stability, and prosperity, reflecting the cordial defence relations between the two nations since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992.
