(AseanAll) — On the morning of April 15, 2025 local time, as his state visit to Viet Nam was drawing to a close, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President Xi Jinping bid farewell to General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee To Lam.
Xi Jinping noted that the visit, though brief, was rich in activities and yielded fruitful results. Both sides reaffirmed their political will to jointly strengthen the cause of socialism in the world and expressed their shared expectations to comprehensively advance the strategic cooperation between the two countries towards the overarching goals of "stronger political mutual trust, more substantive security cooperation, deeper practical cooperation, more solid popular foundation, closer coordination and collaboration on multilateral affairs, and better management and resolution of differences". Both sides are committed to resisting external risks and challenges, safeguarding regional peace and stability, and upholding international fairness and justice. Xi Jinping expressed his full confidence in the prospects for the development of China-Viet Nam relations. Both sides should fully implement the outcomes of this visit and continue to advance the building of a China-Viet Nam community with a shared future.
To Lam said that General Secretary and President Xi Jinping's visit has produced fruitful results and that the two sides had in-depth communication on major overarching and strategic issues of common interest and concern and reached a series of important common understandings, which have vigorously promoted the strategic cooperation between the two parties and two countries, enhanced Viet Nam's confidence in overcoming risks and challenges, and elevated the friendship between the two peoples to a new height. Viet Nam will actively implement the outcomes of the visit, work for the continuous development of relations between the two parties and two countries, and create a future of shared prosperity for the two nations.
