(AseanAll) — On the morning of 7 March 2025, UN Kheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, received a courtesy call by Zaheeruddin Babar Thaheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Cambodia.
During the meeting, the Secretary of State commended the positive outcomes of the first meeting of the Joint Trade Committee between Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan, which was held in Cambodia early this year.
Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the fruitful and long-standing relations between the two nations, and they exchanged views on potential expanded cooperation areas like trade, investment, and people-to-people connectivity.
Both sides also emphasized the importance of signing a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Consultation between the two foreign ministries at the earliest convenience because it is the foundation for broadening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
