Phnom Penh,December 8 (AseanAll) — On December 8,2024, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Hun Sen, departed for a week-long official visit to four nations in the Middle-East, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the Republic of Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This visit will be made from December 8 to 14, 2024 to promote and expand the relationship, friendship and cooperation between the legislative body of Cambodia and that of the friendly nations for the benefit of the people, the development, and the peace, stability and security of the region and the world.
In Saudi Arabia, Hun Sen will hold bilateral talks with Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh, Chairman of the Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia and the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister.
In Qatar, the Cambodian Senate President will meet with Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Chairman of Consultative Assembly of Qatar, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar.
In Türkiye, Hun Sen will hold a meeting with Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Türkiye, and attend some special events including visits to some historical sites of this nation.
Finally, Hun Sen will talk with Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council and Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
The delegation accompanying Hun Sen includes Ouch Borith, First Vice President of the Senate, senior ministers, as well as key leaders of the Senate, the National Assembly, the Royal Government and the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce.
