Lead Implementing Body for Sustainable Infrastructure reaffirms cooperation to advance ASEAN Connectivity and Sustainable Infrastructure initiatives

(AseanAll)  —  The Lead Implementing Body for Sustainable Infrastructure (LIB-SI) held its 14th Meeting on November 4, 2024 in Vientiane, Lao PDR, with representatives from ASEAN Member States and the ASEAN Secretariat, and Timor-Leste participating as an Observer.

Under the Chairmanship of Lao PDR, LIB-SI representatives reviewed the progress and challenges of implementing sustainable infrastructure projects and activities as outlined in the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025, while setting directions for ongoing and future regional sustainable infrastructure collaboration.

LIB-SI discussed efforts in strengthening cooperation for capacity building and identifying new opportunities in preparation for the post-2025 connectivity and sustainable infrastructure agenda.

LIB-SI representatives include agencies responsible for national planning and development, transport, and public works.
