(AseanAll)  — On November 1, 2024, CambodianDeputy Prime Minister SOK Chenda Sophea, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by Derek YIP, Ambassador of Australia to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Ministry. 

SOK Chenda Sophea reflected on the strong and enduring ties between the two countries, and they reaffirmed the robust partnership and shared commitment to mutual growth and cooperation that has marked the bilateral relationship since the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed profound appreciation for Australia’s long-standing support for Cambodia, highlighting its pivotal role in areas, such as capacity building, social development, and digital transformation. He also shared insights on the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Pentagonal Strategy, an overarching framework aimed at advancing national development.

Both sides shared the commitment to further deepening cooperation across a range of sectors to foster a resilient partnership for the mutual benefits of both nations.
