Indonesian President Jokowi Leads Last Plenary Cabinet Meeting

Nusantara, September 14 (AseanAll)  — Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin September 13,2024 led the last plenary cabinet meeting of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet at the Garuda Palace in Nusantara, East Kalimantan province, Indonesia.

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the hard work and dedication of all of you in running the administration, in carrying out the programs and visions of the President and Vice President, in facing various challenges,” Jokowi said.

The President also reminded that the new administration—to be led by President-elect General (ret.) Prabowo Subianto—needs full support from the current cabinet to ensure a smooth transition.

“Please immediately finalize the main programs that were started last month,” he added.

Jokowi also underscored the importance in supporting the President-elect’s programs and to ensure the transition smoothly.

“We need stability to continue to grow and to carry out development, so please make sure there are no obstacles until the next cabinet is formed,” the Head of State said.

On the occasion, Jokowi also expressed apology to the Cabinet members for all shortcomings during his ten years of leadership.

“If in these ten years there are things that are felt to be less than pleasant in interactions or there are things that are less than optimal, once again, I would like to apologize,” he remarked.
