Phnom Penh, August 14 (AseanAll) — On August 14,2024, Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, departed here for a visit to China.

The Cambodian monarch was seen off at Phnom Penh International Airport by Hun Sen, President of the Senate and President of the Supreme Privy Council to the King; Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly; Hun Manet, Prime Minister; and many other high-ranking officials as well as royal family members.

Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin was also present on the occasion.

According to a royal message, during the King’s absence, Senate President Hun Sen will act as the Acting Head of State.
