Beijing, August 13 (AseanAll) — China’s foreign minister Wang Yi will visit Myanmar and Thailand from August 14 to 17, Chinese foreign ministry said on August 13,2024.

“Wang Yi will visit Myanmar and travel to Thailand to co-chair the ninth Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian said.
Wang Yi will also attend an “informal discussion” between counterparts from Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, Lin said.
Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son held separate meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia on the sidelines of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM-58) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 8.
