(AseanAll) — On July 28,2024, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov visited Malaysia, where he held talks with Foreign Minister of Malaysia Mohamad Hasan and Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim,according to Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the discussions, the officials covered various aspects of Russia-Malaysia relations, including political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, science and education ties, and interregional collaboration.
They reaffirmed their similar or coinciding positions on key regional and global issues, as well as their readiness to continue closely coordinating their actions at multilateral platforms.
The foreign ministers of the two countries took part in a ceremony of exchanging notes on the intention of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Diplomatic Academy and the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry to jointly train specialists in foreign affairs.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Retno L. P.
