(AseanAll)  — On October 21,2026,Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei delivered a speech and participated in a discussion with the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs of Thailand. The session was attended by Nirat Yoophakdee, Chairman of the Committee; Chavapon Vathanavekin, Vice-Chairman and nearly 30 senators.

Zhang Jianwei highlighted the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind put forward by President Xi Jinping as well as the four major global initiatives. 

He emphasized that these concepts and initiatives provide Chinese wisdom and solutions for navigating global changes and addressing the challenges facing humanity. 

Zhang Jianwei expressed China’s readiness to strengthen the alignment of development strategies with Thailand, deepen practical cooperation, foster closer ties between the two peoples, and advance the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future in a substantive and concrete manner. 

Nirat Yoophakdee, Chairman of the Committee stated that the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Thai Senate would like to strengthen communication and coordination with the Chinese side, with the aim of ensuring that the friendly cooperation between the two nations delivers greater benefits to both their peoples. 

Zhang Jianwei also addressed questions regarding China-Thailand people-to-people exchanges and economic and trade cooperation.
