Kuala Lumpur, September 30 (AseanAll) — On September 28, 2026, Chinese Embassy in Malaysia hosted a reception to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of The People’s Republic of China and bid farewell to Ambassador Ouyang Yujing.

Present were Malaysia’s guests of honour Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani; President of the Senate (Dewan Negara), Dato’ Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah; Speaker of the House of Representatives (Dewan Rakyat), Tan Sri Dr. Johari Abdul; Minister of Transport, Anthony Loke Siew Fook; Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu; Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories), Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan; and Director-General of Malaysian Defence Intelligence Organisation (MDIO), Lieutenant General Dato’ Fazal Abdul Rahman, along with local community representatives, friends from various sectors, foreign envoys to Malaysia, as well as representatives of Chinese nationals, enterprises, and international students in Malaysia, among over 1,200 guests.

Ouyang Yujing highlighted the great achievements attained by the People's Republic of China over the past 77 years under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. He reflected on the fruitful outcomes in elevating bilateral relations and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation and people-to-people friendship, as witnessed during his tenure. He hopes that China-Malaysia relations will continue to achieve new successes.
Johari, who delivered a toast on behalf of the Malaysian government, congratulated China on its 77th National Day. Guests fromMalaysia commended Ambassador Ouyang for his significant contributions to advancing Malaysia-China relations during his tenure.
