Phnom Penh, September 10 (AseanAll)  — On the morning of 10 September 2026,  HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Akbar Ghasemi Ali Abadi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.

During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the relations between the two countries and reaffirmed his commitment to further promoting bilateral cooperation. He also expressed interest in exploring opportunities to expand cooperation across several key areas.

In response, HUN Manet, congratulated Akbar Ghasemi Ali Abadi on his appointment as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Cambodia. He noted the good relations between the two countries and expressed confidence that the Ambassador’s diplomatic mission would contribute to further advancing cooperation between the two countries. 

Furthermore, HUN Manet welcomed the Ambassador’s commitment to seeking new opportunities to advance bilateral cooperation and encouraged him to engage in further discussions with Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
