Beijing, July 20(AseanAll)  — Thail Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul held a full-delegation bilateral meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, focusing on elevating comprehensive strategic relations through the 5 key pillars of cooperation, as follows:

• Trade & Investment: Boost fruit and food exports, accelerate the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), and attract quality tech-transfer investments in artificial (AI) and electric vehicles (EVs);
• Infrastructure: Complete Phase 1 of the high-speed rail project by 2030, advance Phase 2, and enhance regional connectivity;
• Security: Establish a Foreign Affairs and Defense 2+2 mechanism, with Thailand hosting the first meeting.
• Future Technologies: Cooperate on AI, the digital economy, space tech, nuclear fusion, and quantum;
• Transnational Crime: Jointly crack down on scam networks, money laundering, and online financial fraud.

Following the discussions, both Prime Ministers witnessed the signing of 15 agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs), covering higher education, industrial chains, AI education, intellectual property, nuclear fusion, public health, the BeiDou navigation satellite system, anti-money laundering, aquatic exports, media cooperation, water management, and deep space exploration.

This official visit by the Thai Prime Minister to China, from 16 to 20 July, marked another significant milestone in strengthening the enduring partnership and multi-dimensional cooperation between Thailand and China.
