(AseanAll) — On May 20th,2026, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia paid a courtesy call on Myanmar’s newly elected Vice President Nan Ni Ni Aye in Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting was attended by Myanmar’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Naing Min Kyaw, and Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar Shen Dan.
Ma Jia congratulated Nan Ni Ni Aye on her election as the Vice President. She briefed her on China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the development of bilateral relations, stating China is ready to deepen cooperation across all fields and pursue shared development opportunities under the framework of building a China-Myanmar community with a shared future.
Nan Ni Ni Aye spoke highly of the significance of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, expressing confidence that China will attain greater development achievements during the 15th Five-Year Plan period and bring benefits to Myanmar and other neighboring countries. Myanmar expects closer cooperation with China in fields including education development, healthcare, youth training and women’s affairs to advance the building of a China-Myanmar community with a shared future.
