Kuala Lumpur,May 29 (AseanAll)  — On May 29, 2026, the book presentation ceremony for Chinese Edition of The Asian Renaissance written by Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was held in Kuala Lumpur. 

Under the witness of Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing, the Editor-in-Chief of China International Communications Group (CICG), Gao Anming presented Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim with the new Chinese edition of The Asian Renaissance.

Originally written in English, The Asian Renaissance was published in 1996 during Anwar's tenure as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. In the book, Anwar advocates for Asian countries to seek common ground and forge shared values while reserving differences in cultural exchanges, and build a “community of humanity” through dialogue among civilizations. With various references made to classical Chinese thought, many of his views align with the important initiatives proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, such as building a community with a shared future for humanity and the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI).

The Asian Renaissance Chinese Edition was published by CICG in March 2026.
