Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Meets with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of Thailand

Bangkok, May 22 (AseanAll)  — Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei met with Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of Thailand on May 21,2026.

Zhang Jianwei stated that this year marks the beginning of the next 50 years of golden relationship between China-Thailand. China is willing to further deepen transportation cooperation with Thailand, promote the progress of the China-Thailand railway and other major projects,to enhance regional connectivity and industrial and regional economic development along.

Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn stated that Thailand and China share similar development philosophies in the transportation sector, bearing in fruitful cooperation. The Thai government attaches importance to transportation infrastructure development and is willing to work closely with China to advance major projects such as the China-Thailand railway. 

Pipat welcomed more Chinese companies to participate in Thailand's transportation infrastructure development.
