(AseanAll) — On May 12, 2026, at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, the Royal Thai Police, Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul chaired a press conference on police operations against narcotics networks, conducted between October 1, 2025 and May 11,2026.

The event was attended by Police General Kitrat Phanphet, Commissioner‑General of the Royal Thai Police, together with relevant officials.
The Prime Minister commended the work of the Royal Thai Police and all relevant agencies to monitor, expand investigations, and suppress narcotics networks. Between October 1, 2025 and May 11,2026, 183,979 narcotics cases have been cracked down, with substantial seizures including 915,044,481 methamphetamine tablets, 34,116 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 5,222 kilograms of ketamine, 756 kilograms of heroin, and 274,880 ecstasy tablets, as well as assets worth 7.143 billion Baht confiscated for examination.
These results reflect the determination and relentless effort of officers and agencies in their fight against narcotics producers and traffickers. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Government’s full support for these efforts, including their operations, protection for officers performing their duties with integrity, and strengthening of the international cooperation to address narcotics problems in all dimensions.
The Prime Minister reiterated that the Government places utmost importance and is firmly determined to win the fight against narcotics, which pose a serious threat to the Thai people and society. He thankedall concerned officers for their dedication, sacrifice, and courage in risking their lives to eliminate this threat to the nation and the peace of society. He also called on the public to cooperate by providing insightson drug traffickers, and urged those still involved in trafficking or supporting such networks to cease their activities immediately.
The Prime Minister was later briefed on major narcotics cases, and inspected the evidence seized from the suppression operations against drug networks.
