Manila, March 27 (AseanAll) — Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on March 27, 2026 said the government continues to seek other sources of crude oil.

Marcos said he had already had some discussions with Ramon Ang, who is also the president and CEO of Petron, a major fuel company in the Philippines.
The President led the opening of the NAIAX – Westbound Off-Ramp to NAIA Terminal 3 Project, a 320-meter-long road in Barangay 183, Pasay City, aimed at decongesting traffic in the airport terminal area and improving access to the airport.
Among those who accompanied the President were Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Acting Secretary Vivencio Dizon; Ramon Ang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of San Miguel Corporation; Department of Transportation (DOTr) Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez; Atty. Jose Arturo Tugade, Executive Director of the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB); and Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano.
According to news reports, a shipment of over 700,000 barrels of Russian crude oil has arrived in the country.
