(AseanAll) — On March 12,2026,Professor Yotsanun Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party's first prime ministerial candidate, Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, the Pheu Thai Party leader, and Mr. Suriya Jungrungruangkit, former Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, paid a courtesy call on the Chinese Embassy in Thailand at the invitation of Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jianwei. They engaged in a warm and friendly exchange of views.

Zhang Jianwei highlighted the spirit of the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (NPC and CPPCC) and the 15th Five-Year Plan, stating that China-Thailand relations are standing at a new starting point of another golden 50 years. China is willing to work with the Pheu Thai Party to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and strive to promote bilateral pragmatic cooperation to benefit the people of both countries more.

Professor Yotsanun Wongsawat stated that the Pheu Thai Party and the Communist Party of China share a long-standing and profound friendship. He expressed hope that they could further strengthen exchanges and mutual learning in areas of national governance experience, promote cooperation in agriculture, artificial intelligence, the digital economy, and other fields, and continue to build a China-Thailand community with a shared future.
