Jakarta, January 15(AseanAll) — San Lwin, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC), received Mr. Yonetani Koji, Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, at the ASEAN Secretariat on 15 January 2026 for a courtesy call.
The meeting served as an introductory engagement for the new Ambassador and provided an opportunity to reaffirm Japan’s longstanding partnership with ASEAN, including cooperation under the Japan–ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF). Discussions focused on ongoing and potential collaboration in areas such as public health, disaster management, and cultural exchange, with a view to strengthening future cooperation.
