(AseanAll)  — On 16 November,2025, Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Xiao Jianguo was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 2025 “Master Lectures Tour”. Delegation of Henan Overseas Friendship Association, Yong Teck Chin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chung Hwa Middle School BSB and fellow directors, as well as teachers from Chinese schools in Brunei were present.

Xiao Jianguo extended congratulations on the successful launch of the program,and expressed his hope that the programcould enhance mutual learning among teachers, further advance Chinese language education in Brunei, and deepen people-to-people exchange between China and Brunei.

The Ambassador also elaborated on the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He highlighted that China stands ready to strengthen alignmentbetween development plans of the two countries,and to promote new achievements in bilateral cooperation, for the purpose ofadvancing the building of China-Brunei community with a shared future to new heights.

Yong Teck Chin thanked the Embassy and Henan Overseas Friendship Association for the strong support, and reiterated the School’s commitment to promoting Chinese language education and carrying forward Chinese cultural heritage. 

Ms Geng Yingying, head of the Henan Overseas Friendship Association delegation,expressed her expectation to strengthen education and cultural exchanges between Henan Province,China and Brunei through this program, injecting new vitality into China-Brunei friendship.
