(AseanAll)  — On November 15,2025, Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Xiao Jianguo was invited to attend the 55th Anniversary Celebration and the 42nd Senior Citizens Appreciation Dinner of Pertubuhan Kerjasama Kuang Hui, and engaged in friendly exchanges with Chairman Yap Thian Fook and friends from local Chinese community.

Xiao Jianguo extended warm congratulations on the 55th anniversary of Pertubuhan Kerjasama Kuang Hui. He spoke highly of the organization for upholding its founding principle of “benefiting the community with equality for all”, as well as for its long-standing dedication to promoting traditional Chinese culture and serving the development of Brunei. 

The Ambassador further elaboratedon the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee,and called on the Chinese community in Brunei, including Pertubuhan Kerjasama Kuang Hui, to steadfastly uphold the one-China principle as always and actively participate in practical cooperation between China and Brunei, so as to make new and greater contribution to the building of a China-Brunei community with a shared future.

Yap Thian Fook thanked for the longstanding support of the Embassy to the organization. He affirmed that Pertubuhan Kerjasama Kuang Hui will continue to carry forward the fine traditions of promoting Chinese cultural heritage and serving the community, and to contribute to the friendship between Brunei and China.
