Seri Begawan, June 10 (AseanAll) — Yang Mulia Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received a courtesy call from Yang Mulia Major General Li Yanhua, Political Commissar of Military Management College, The National Defense University (NDU), People’s Liberation Army (PLA), People’s Republic of China on 10 June 2025. 

Also in attendance was the Director of Intelligence, Ministry of Defence of Brunei.

During the call, the Acting Commander of the RBAF warmly welcomed and expressed his appreciation for the presence of Yang Mulia Major General Li Yanhua’s at the Ministry of Defence. 

Both sides expressed their gratitude for the close bilateral relations and cooperation established between the RBAF and the PLA, People’s Republic of China which have been strengthened through various engagements , including senior military official exchange visits, military courses, seminars, conferences,exhibitions, and naval ship visits. 

Major General Li Yanhua’s is in Brunei Darussalam from 10 June to 14 June 2025 for an official visit to Defence Academy RBAF.
